What is A Life Coach?

couchIs it like a life couch? Actually, kind of, if your couch occasionally kicks your ass. A life coach, as I interpret it, is a person who helps her client figure out the very best, richest, most satisfying life imaginable. Life coaches do not tell you what to do. They listen, and if they're doing the job right, they teach the client how to really listen to herself.

Who Can Benefit from Coaching?

  • Motivated individuals who are dissatisfied with their career and hope to bring more creativity into their lives.
  • Students wondering about a career in the arts
  • People who want to improve their expression and delivery: for executives, teachers, actors, public speakers, ministers, therapists--performers of all kinds.
  • Anyone who feels stuck or who has trouble making decisions.

I have always coached writers and musicians, and I have found that guidance for artists translates well to normal people too.

I am rabidly, shamelessly curious about people and the stories they tell about why they are the way they are. I want to honor these stories and then challenge clients to compose the life he/she/they deeply want(s) to be living.

To find out more about my practice, email me at Nerissand@gmail.com. We will have an an initial phone conversation to see if life coaching is for you and to see if we are a good match.
